Our guide was a knowledgeable, courteous and patient history teacher. He took the time to repeat and explain anything we did not understand, and his English was good. He made our trip to Xi’an very memorable.

Travel between cities on China’s high-speed bullet trains was smooth, comfortable and a pleasure in itself—combining modern convenience with beautiful countryside views. The hotels were clean and well located, the value for money excellent, and the whole tour was flawlessly organised from start to finish. I would not hesitate to recommend this trip to anyone.

A remarkable journey from north to south—Beijing’s imperial treasures, Xi’an’s Terracotta Warriors, the relaxed teahouse culture of Chengdu, and the dramatic riverside skyline of Chongqing. The itinerary was packed yet smoothly paced, showing us both China’s living heritage and its astonishing modern energy. Every region offered something entirely different and memorable.

We visited Beijing, Xi’an, Chengdu, Guilin and Shanghai over two weeks, and consistently felt safe in every destination, from large metropolises to smaller tourist towns. Public order is excellent everywhere we went, and local people are helpful towards foreign visitors.

The Dazu Rock Carvings experience was absolutely breathtaking! Starting with the digital film that explained the historical context, followed by an up-close exploration of the grottoes, I could vividly appreciate the intricate details of the millennium-old Buddha statues—especially the flowing robes and expressive faces. This "learn first, then admire" approach brought history to life, making it the most unforgettable cultural immersion of our trip!

It was refreshing to speak directly with a friendly English-speaking advisor instead of endless emails and messages. They were polite, efficient and helpful with every query, which made the whole process easy and reassuring.

What stood out was how attentive and personal the service was. They listened to exactly what I wanted, accommodated my special requests without hesitation, and even went the extra mile on the details. It felt like a tailor-made holiday, not a standard package.

The pandas were the highlight of an unforgettable trip. From the spacious, natural-style enclosures at the Chengdu and Dujiangyan Panda Bases to the up-close views at Chongqing Zoo, we saw these gentle giants in wonderfully natural settings. Watching them eat, climb and nap was pure joy. A must-do for any animal lover visiting China.

This was as much a culinary journey as a cultural one. From Chengdu’s famous hotpot and bold Sichuan flavours to regional dumplings and a classic Peking Duck farewell dinner, every meal was a delight. Dining together in local restaurants with the group made each dish feel like part of the adventure.

The natural scenery alone made this tour unforgettable. Cruising the Li River past tranquil fishing villages and towering karst peaks to Yangshuo felt like drifting through a living ink painting. The Reed Flute Cave's glowing limestone formations and the calm beauty of Guilin's lakes were every bit as breathtaking. No photograph can truly capture how stunning this part of China is.

In just over two weeks we travelled from Beijing's imperial splendour to Xi'an's Terracotta Warriors, Chengdu's pandas, the serene beauty of Guilin, and finally the dazzling skyline of Shanghai. Despite covering so much ground, everything was meticulously organised—from seamless transfers to excellent hotels—and there was even free time to explore on our own.

The transport itself was part of the adventure. Seamless high-speed bullet trains, internal flights, and even a ride on Shanghai's maglev train made the vast distances between cities feel effortless and comfortable. A relaxing stretch on the Yangtze River cruise offered beautiful scenery, talks and entertainment aboard—a welcome pause in a very full itinerary.

Suzhou was a beautiful highlight. Wandering through the exquisite Humble Administrator's Garden, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and cruising the ancient Grand Canal gave us a glimpse of the elegant, slower-paced Jiangnan that inspired generations of poets and artists. It was the perfect counterpoint to the big-city energy elsewhere on the trip.

I could not fault anything from start to finish. If there is a problem they deal with it promptly and everyone is always very helpful. Also the tour guides to date on my trips have been fantastic . The great thing is all i need to think about is what time do we meet the next day. I don't have to do a whole lot of research where I should go , checking out restaurants, hoping I've picked one that is ok.

Starting with ear cleaning and kung fu tea at Heming Teahouse, then wandering Kuanzhai Alley—every activity felt like a genuine taste of local life. The panda base visit was adorable, and hunting for panda elements in Taikoo Li was a fun adventure. This itinerary lets you live like a local, not just visit.
